Debbie Joynes - Psychotherapist
‘We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time’
.... T.S.Eliot
I am a UKCP registered Integrative psychotherapist, based in Redditch, offering short and long term individual psychotherapy in the Midlands, Worcestershire and Warwickshire areas.
People seek psychotherapy for many reasons. Some may be experiencing ‘here and now’ difficulties (such as a bereavement, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety), whilst others may be troubled by issues from the past (for example difficulties during childhood, history of abuse, bullying, family relationships). Other people may simply have a sense of uncertainty about their lives and an interest in exploring who they are and how they fit into the world. Therapy can offer the opportunity and support to discuss the issues that are important to you in a safe and confidential environment, where you will be treated with respect and compassion.
As an Integrative psychotherapist with 10 years experience I am able to draw on a range of therapeutic approaches. On the "my approach to psychotherapy" page you can find more information regarding the theories that inform my practice, including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Relational therapy. The influence of these different approaches enables me to work with clients with a wide variety of difficulties.
I also have a special interest in working as a signing therapist with Deaf clients, and have advanced skills in British Sign Language (stage 3 BSL).
I hope that you find the answer to your questions on the pages of my website. If you have any queries I warmly welcome you to contact me.
